don't try this at home--this is Will's way of getting around the new texting laws--have your toddler drive!(Not to worry- we were on the farm on an old dirt road and we were the ONLY car around for miles....and all she'd had to drink was apple juice!)
G-man likes to swing!
This is part of the bedtime routine. Grady likes all of his friends lined up on the neighboring pillow....along with 5 specific songs, and a prayer...oh and one more stop to the potty...oh and can he have a sip of water...
just chillin on the front porch--with no pants on. oops.
G loves the pool and water.
We have spent the summer preparing for, meeting, and adjusting to our newest family member.
And that's ALL. No huge projects have been accomplished. No closets cleaned out. No fancy barbeque's have been hosted...or attended. No friends over to play.

And I think I am turning into a hermit. But really, it's not been a bad thing. I've rather enjoyed settling into our new normal. And I know it's good for Grady to have time to adjust to his family and us to him. He's a funny little guy--we've learned a little about his personality in the last few weeks.
1. Don't touch the man's food. Period. or a loud writhing tantrum will ensue. Not worth it- trust me. and for God's sake don't try to steal a lick of his lollipop.
2. When he says he needs to potty- trust him--head for a potty. He knows his personal plumbing...well.
3. He likes boxer shorts...what old man doesn't?
4. He's a pointer--if you don't pass muster with him--he'll point to the door for you to leave through.
5. He LIKES spinach--and other green vegetables. But don't give him a strawberry. He also likes yogurt and almond milk. and flav r ice popsicles.
6. He flirts with girls...and he's sly about it.
7. He gives the BEST SMOOCHES--you thought Ruby had some lips--oh this kid has her beat.
So -- if you haven't heard from us--we've been nesting. And now I have to get ready for one of my little birdies to fly away to high school--Freshman Orientation is tonight. Oh my- where did the time go?

Glad to see everyone is doing so well. And there's nothing wrong with living the hermit life! It's good! :-) Reunion looks like it was a blast. Grady's bedtime routine sounds similar - Michael has all of his friends lined up right beside him too-except they are all in our bed! Again, it's so good to "hear" from you. Keep me posted when you start Grady's CF treatment.
Thanks for the update! It was like cold turkey there for a while... anxiously checking daily, keeping my fingers crossed for an update... scary!
I'm so happy to see that you guys are doing so well. I can't wait to meet you guys sometime soon!

My Grady would only wear boxers, too! He started in Kindgergarten and wouldn't even CONSIDER wearing a pair of tighty whities since. Funny things, those boys! In high school, he went through a faze that his boxers had to match his shirt!?!
