Broken Collar Bone

the girls & I at a shower for Grady--more on that later--this was less than 24 hours after the break--as long as you don't touch the area or try to pick her up--all is fine.

This is Ruby on the ride to the ER--such a tough girl! She DID do her share of screaming

but it was intermittent and all in all she was a serious little trooper.

It would seem as though Ruby is following in her brother Reames' footsteps--he broke his foot (in 5 places) on the day we got our referral for Ruby and here we are getting ready to travel to Grady and we have another broken bone!

We were coming in the house after a LONG day and I think Ruby just got too close to the edge of our porch and fell off--only a 2 foot drop but she fell right on her left shoulder and suffered a "green stick break". The bone was poking up toward the surface of the skin (but not through!!) but popped back into place by the time we got to the doctor. She's in a sling (what a joke) and we see an orthopedist this morning.



BTW- did I mention she had a SEVERE allergic reaction to some ant bites this week and we will now carry an epi pen wherever we go for her? (No biggee- we already do this for Mags--but still).



My children need to CHILL OUT!
