Our girls had such a nice time playing together. They are just 6 months apart. Tian is a little older and has piggy tails we are green with envy over. She also has an amazing sign language vocabulary. Both girls are from the same province in China although they were not in the same orphanage.

When you travel around the world with someone to pick up your daughters...you tend to have a unique bond with that person. Such is the case with The Pervorse Family. This precious family is the only one out of 12 families that travelled together that lives anywhere close to us and it happens to be pretty close by...Villa Rica, GA. They came to spend the 4th of July with us and we sooo enjoyed seeing them again--for the 1st time since we brought our girls home to America...hard to believe it's only been 6 months because the girls have grown and settled in so much you'd think they've always been citizens of the good ol' US of A.

No one can understand what it is like to go through what we did to get this little girl home EXCEPT those that have done the same thing. When I meet someone along life's way that shares this special set of circumstances with us, it's hard not to glom on to them and hug them tight and just grin because you know they understand; they have been where you have been, seen what you have seen, cried the same tears you have for children that we couldn't bring home because China wouldn't let us pack them all up, endured an excruciating wait for a child that you have loved even before you knew what they looked like, and had to leave behind a beautiful country and culture that you promise to teach your child about. Awesome feeling. Of course we cherish all the prayers and blessings we have received from our community...there's just something about China Families.

So anyway- I know this was a rambling post but this 4th of July...we are especially aware of how blessed we are to be Americans...but we are also thankful for a God that brings families together from ALL parts of the globe.
