New Quilt!!!

I am so excited...Karen Fuller brought over the quilt I had given her to machine quilt for me. She does the nicest detailed work. It is just perfect...I'll let it speak for itself. Many of you might remember that long to do list I had while the kids were away at summer camp. Well--I pieced this Chinese culture quilt while I was reveling in the quiet of a one kid household. I've already made the scrapbook that accompanies it and tells the story of each and every piece of fabric. I still need to bind it but now I have this project just about knocked out. I had thought i would save this treasure as a wedding present for the LE ( I know--I really think ahead but how else does one get ANYTHING done with 4 kidlets running around?) but I've decided it would be better to use it and have her remember it as a part of her childhood.

So there.

Just a few shots from LE's dedication. The top one is the beautiful cake Becky made, next LE's cute little foot, and lastly a shot of where i hand embroidered LE's name into the slip of her christening gown.
