Reames chose The Cannon for his birthday meal so we loaded up and headed to this neat little pub/eatery in the quaint downtown of our fair city. They brew all their own beer...ahem...root beer for our crew...right there on the premises and make the best calzones and pizzas around. Reames scored a free birthday root beer and a HUGE calzone.
He nearly set off the fire alarms with all those candles...on the cake he requested-
--yellow with Chocolate frosting and pecans.

And I think he got everything he wished for...on the 2nd go round of candle blowing--(forgot to make a wish the 1st time)--a new TYR triathlon bag, converse high tops, some clothes from American Eagle, etc. He also enjoyed a spirited re-telling of his birth and first few months. (Some of you will remember he was born with some "issues" and was nicknamed our "plug in baby" because of the monitor he stayed hooked up to in the beginning).
Happy Birthday, Trout. I am so glad you are here. You make me laugh, cry, think, and proud!
