Reames has participated in 5 triathlons but because they are always in far corners of our state and they start sooo darn early in the morning...Will always takes him and I never get to actually SEE him perform. But last weekend, Columbus had its very FIRST sprint triathlon down on the River Walk...
...and I got to see my boy in action!!!
this was during his first transition...he was coming out of the 1/4 mile river swim and into the 12 mile bike ride

Reames had set up under the building near the front in the shadows....he got there EARLY (5AM) to get this spot!
Here he is heading out for the ride.
He made it back in record time and headed out for the 5K run.

He was so PUMPED!!!!
His cycling buddy, Michael came out with his parents to support Reames...so cool!

The crowd went wild when they called his name & age(13) and said his hometown...right here in COLUMBUS,GA!!
He finished in 1 hour 21 minutes 37 seconds...in the top 20 percent for the whole race--grownups included!
I am so PROUD!!!!!
