Making wishes

Today is Children's Day in China...

 

and there is a new campaign beginning over at An Orphan's Wish to raise awareness about the need for general sponsors for their House of Love located in Guilin, China.

We NEED 65 new sponsors!

The House of Love is a place where Chinese orphans with special needs ranging from clubbed feet & cerebral palsy to hernias & heart conditions  go for treatment. Some children live there full time while others come for a temporary visit to receive treatment before returning to their orphanages to hopefully be adopted by forever loving families.

I love this place for the hope it gives children and for the improved future it secures for them. 

But it can't do the job without support from families who sponsor its children.

People in my life and community say to me all the time that it's such a wonderful thing to adopt a child...but that they could never DO that...for whatever reason, adoption is a daunting task to many.  I understand and fully KNOW that not everyone is called to bring a child out of hardship and into their homes BUT everyone of us is called to love ALL GOD'S CHILDREN and to take care of them.  For some this means adoption but for MANY others it can look differently. 

Sponsoring & praying for a child over at An Orphan's Wish is EXACTLY how you can be involved in making a better life for a child in need.

Won't you be a part of making a wish come true for a child?

PS- you get a really neat tshirt with every sponsorship...not kidding- I've already gotten 4 and with 7 people in my house, the last thing I need is more laundry...but they are THAT CUTE!
