Mags & a friend, Brynn, horsing around.~
MaggieRuth has been taking English riding from a good friend of ours for nearly a year and got to ride in her first show at Big Bear Farms this weekend in Pine Mountain. It was a schooling show so not quite as formal as other shows she will compete in in the future--a perfect start for Mags!

She rode a welsh pony named Pepsi Doodle and competed in the Pre-amoeba level at Dressage and Cross Rail Jumping. She earned a blue ribbon for each and was well complimented by the judges in both events.

This whole sport is so new to me and I learned a lot yesterday watching all of the riders. Perfect weather, perfect first show!
