a backpack for his special things...hopefully he will come to us on his adoption day with this full of used disposable cameras, a good wishes journal, our family photo album, a toy or two, and something to remember his foster family by.
the contents of Grady's bag- all labeled with his name:a photo album labeled with pictures of everyone in our family, a journal for the foster family to write good wishes in for the future, his own toy phone with a recording of my voice saying "I love you, Grady!", a few cameras, etc.
treats for the nannies and foster family to share; nuts and fruit, jellybeans, a few outfits and socks for the children, a U.S. map marked with our home city, lotions, books, flavored water powders, stickers, gum, etc.

The latest pictures of Grady spurred me to get busy on his care package. We have almost finished the paperwork phase of our adoption. (We actually finished our portion of the dossier before the homestudy is complete!) We have one more homestudy visit tonight and need to be fingerprinted by U.S. immigration and then we sit back and wait on all the government entities to put their two cents worth into the pile. It'll still be awhile.
So- knowing that Grady needs to know we are wroking our way toward him...I began stockpiling items for a package. It will cost a small fortune to send it to him and there really is no guarantee he will get it but I'm taking a leap of faith here...we may send one more package around his birthday and have a cake delivered to the foster family to celebrate his special day. I really want him to know we are coming...I want him to have hope that someone out here is fighting for him and really...
